Mangochi District Council Finance Office & Council Chamber

This office sets a new tone for public architecture in Malawi. Universal access is achieved by means of a ramp that is also a feature in the front facade. Low-maintenance face brick finish is used with minimal plaster to enhance the facades. Located in Mangochi, a hot area, the building has recessed windows within the walls with fixed louvres for cross ventilation.
